Evidently has no account and your receipts never leave your device. We collect anonymous usage counts and crash reports to improve the app, and nothing else.

Who we are

Evidently is made by Single Deck Labs Limited, a company registered in Kenya. Single Deck Labs Limited is the data controller for the information described in this policy, under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019. You can reach us at [email protected].

No account

Evidently has no sign-up and no login.

Your receipts stay on your device

Receipt images, PDFs and the details read from them (merchants, amounts, dates, client names, notes) are stored only on your device. We never receive them.

How receipts are read

Receipts are read on your device.

If you turn on “Cloud reading” in Evidently’s Settings (it is off by default), receipts your device can’t read may be processed on Apple’s secure servers, which Apple designs so that data isn’t stored or accessible to Apple. It is never sent to us.

iCloud sync

iCloud sync is optional and off by default. When you turn it on, your receipts are copied to your own private iCloud Drive container, which is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. We can’t access it.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play). We receive no payment details. The app checks the store’s own purchase records on your device.

Usage analytics

We use an analytics provider based in the United States to collect anonymous product events such as “receipt added”, “export shared” or “paywall viewed”, together with the app version, platform, OS version and an anonymous random ID.

Analytics never include receipt contents, merchant names, amounts, client names or images. There are no session recordings and no IP-based location. We use this information to improve the app. It is not used for advertising and it is not sold.

Crash reports

We use a crash-reporting provider based in the United States to receive technical details of crashes and errors: the stack trace, device model, OS version and app version. Personal information is not attached.

International transfers

Analytics and crash data are processed in the United States by these providers, under their data processing terms.

No advertising or tracking

Evidently shows no advertising and does not track you across other apps or websites. No data is sold or shared for marketing.

Your rights

Under Kenya’s Data Protection Act you can ask about, correct or delete data about you. Because analytics are anonymous, we usually can’t tell which data is yours, but email us and we’ll do what we can. Contact [email protected].

Deletion

You can delete any receipt in the app. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device.

Children

Evidently is not directed at children under 13.

This website

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts.

When this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
